Online Greeting Cards For When Your Pressed For Time

Online greeting cards are great. I love sending cards to the ones I love, but that doesn't
always mean I have the time. Don't get me wrong, I always have time for my loved ones in their
times of need, but sometimes, just sometimes life gets too hectic and we forget someone's
birthday or anniversary. Lets take last Christmas for example, I was sitting by my log fire
getting very much into the festive spirit, writing out all my greetings cards.

When I had finished writing them I put them down on my kitchen table with every intention of posting
them, I promise. Then one thing led to another, and in the spring whilst decluttering the
house I found those Christmas cards sitting there still unposted. While I had every intention
of posting I had just simply forgotten.

I wouldn't suggest you send an online greeting card as a first resort, although it does give you
a second chance when you forget to send out a paper card. Another great thing about online
greeting cards is that when you want to send wishes to someone on the other side of the world,
they get their card instantly. But if you were to post them a paper card it can sometimes take
weeks for it to arrive.

Online greetings cards should only be kept for lighter occasions, like if you just want to
say "hello" or "good luck". But when someone you know is sad, or having a hard time, you should
definitely send a paper greetings card in the post. There is nothing quite like being able
to hold and to touch a greetings card to know that someone is thinking of you. So if you
are offering sympathy or a congratulations for a wedding you should definitely stick to
paper cards.

As you can see there are many good and bad points to sending online greeting cards. For
me personally I could not live without them. Having the option of sending an online
greetings card has often saved me, where I have forgotten to send a paper one. Its not that
I often forget birthdays, but sometimes it just gets pushed to the bottom of my to do list.
