Magic Bullet Review- Magic Bullet Blender Should You Buy One?

Are you looking to buy a magic bullet blender? You know... the magic bullet blender that you see on tv that's supposed to chop or make just about anything in seconds?

Or maybe you are thinking about getting one for a present? Either way please read my review here of the magic bullet before you buy.

First off... I've been wanting a magic bullet blender for some time now since seeing it on tv for the first time... yeah I'm a sucker for new products. But I really thought this would be a nice addition to my kitchen appliances since I don't like bulky blenders and the magic bullet seemed to fit the bill nicely.

I ended up getting my magic bullet blender for Christmas and had a chance to use it on New Years eve to make some drinks for me and my family.

The first thing that I thought was odd was the fact that the instruction manual stresses a lot about how you may need to pre-prepare the items before sticking them in the magic bullet blender so that they are of the correct size so that the magic bullet can process the food correctly.

Even so, I decided to try the unit by just putting the items in and seeing what came out. I decided to try a smoothie for my son and put in some bananas, frozen strawberries, ice cream, and some milk.

After fiddling with the cup to get it to work (you need to twist and push down) it started to do it's job. It still didn't look like it had blended all the ingredients though so I tried the tap method as explained in the magic bullet manual and tried again. Still no luck... so then I opened the cup back up and added more milk to thin it out. Once again... blend and tap blend and tap.

This time it seemed to work better... but still there was some larger strawberry chunks left?

So then I tried making me and my wife some frozen drinks to celebrate the new year. First some ice, a little drink mix and some vodka and let er rip... humm, ice not chopped to well. The ice ended up coming out more like shaved ice with some little chunks. Still made a pretty good drink though, maybe I just needed to break up the ice a little more before adding it into the magic bullet?

So my take on the magic bullet blender so far... it does a fairly good job but will take practice getting used to. You will need to do a little modification to the foods before blending if you want the magic bullet blender to do it's job right. I may need to add to this review once I get some more practice in... need to blend some more!
